If you shoot the catalyst from a certain angle Shepard can unlock a Jaeger and save the galaxy in style with his/her love interest.I don’t know why it took me so long to discover that…
oh wait, that’s because it’s not real and just something I’ve been fantasizing about since seeing Pacific Rim… damn.

Brilliant! I now wish that this could be, more or less, what happens in the game!
Funny, I kept thinking about how My Shepard would draw a diagram (possibly of stick figures) about how he thought a Jaeger would the the answer to the reaper invasion, because if we've got two (or three in the mass Effect squad number tradition) people inside a Jaeger, the reapers wouldn't stand a chance! And then try to pitch it to the Alliance to see if they could make it possible.

I knew this work or something along the lines of it would emerge sooner or later. I hadn't had the chance to watch "Pacific Rim" yet--spent my theater money watching "Man of Steel"--but I've been hearing great things about it.

It's actually not a great film but the universe is really awesome. Jaegers and Kaiju were really outstanding.

The fem protagonist is totally lame, but there are some fucking awesome characters who make the film damn great. Also the music. It's always the same, just varied, but it works perfectly with the pictures and motions. (And it does not work without them at all, which was shocking).

Is it wrong that a started cackling maniacally when I saw this, and it only got worse when I imagined the biotic sniper jaeger my femshep/Liara pair would be piloting? Phasic headshots from half a galaxy away, singularities that engulf whole (unninhabited) systems, the Reapers wouldn't stand a chance.
