Taijilisk / The Bicephalous Pokemon

Rare pokémon which lives between the ancient ruins of the island. Although its heads are opposed to each other, their cooperation makes it one of the most intelligent and forward-thinking Pokémon of Arkana.

Taijilisk is based on a single and exceptional fossil specimen found in China in 2006: a very young Hyphalosaurus born with two heads and preserved as a fossil. This type of malformation may occur but this is the only documented fossil with this peculiarity. The bicephalous aspect immediately made me think of the symbol of taijitu, representation of the union of opposites.
