This squid is really cool! I noticed there is a tiny white outline around the black shapes. It's most noticeable around the hatching areas.
One thing you can do in illustrator before exporting is setting the black shapes to 'multiply' (it's in the Transparency tab).
For print, a better option is usually to set the back areas to 'overprint' (in the Attributes tab).
Just my $0.02.
