well, as promised here's the man to go with the girl (peep the MJ test if you havn't already)i liked doing this, it was fun. ive been drawing mostly girls recently so this was a good change.
tried to play up his geek heritage but update him a bit with some white Ett's.
and no more goddamn tanktops! hes had them on since the 60's!
and you get bonues points if you can tell who i modelled him around, i don't think i got a great likeness tho so you might not tell.

He looks very hot but lacks his geekyness and that's what I love about Tobey Maguire.
Loads of people think that Jake Gyllenhaal should be Spider-man but he's far too attractive. Cute and geeky is how Spidey should be! Always. =]

Haha well I'm a firm believer that Peter is nothing without MJ. Not movie-MJ though... she's rubbish and never gets to do anything except be rescued. If I do a shirtless Spidey though I may have to do a sexy MJ to balance out the gayometer.

He looks all hip and stylish. The drawing, with him in the spidey suit is ace. His skinny nature works well, and he looks more like I figure spiderman should look like than say, Mark Bagley draws him as. Reminds me of how Scott Morse drew him in the Ultimate Spiderman super special #1. All scrawney like.

i actually have huge issues with my drawings of spidy....i always have real difficulty getting him to look how i want him....maybe this is cause hes my favourite and im never happy with it...i dunno
im a big morse fan as it happens but i never saw that issue.
im not such a big bagley fan tho, but i do admire the guy's stamina! he does 2 issues of Ultimate spidy in the time it takes me to do like a page.

He only had a few pages, in between Jim Mahfood (who's stuff looks odd coloured. Just doesn't suit it, in my opinion) and somebody else's. And, god, you are right, hah, bagley's so quick. And consistent to boot.

bagley works like a demon but there are somew thing i reallly don't like about his work. he does do an amazing range of expressions but im not feeling the way he draws female characters. theres just something about it i don't like.

Eh, it depends. I mean, sometimes he does manage to get the girls down. But then again, he does manage to make MJ look old and ragged at times.

sexy? you're the 2nd girl to say that now...i did try to make him sexy but its difficult to do and i wasn't sure i had managed it.
drawing sexy girls is easier cause i know what i want them to look like, but with guys i just try to make them look cool and hope that this translates into sexy for girls.

yes i hope so. im insanely busy right now, so many projects going on and ppl that want work and stuff. ive been getting up to a good speed recently tho with like a piece a day so if i can keep it up you should be seeing much more spidy.
and hopefully some comics pages too
