Venom in 'supervillain needless posturing situation no1.'
well, this was a journey. the sketch took about 2 seconds but the colouring was a mission.
i did 2 versions in painter, 2 in photoshop - all with meticulously painted muscle and gristle..then i sacked that off and painted it black. as usal, the black one looks best. it totally wasn't what i was going for but i like it anyway.
ive been trying for ages to get a real grainy, sunlit new york feel for my spider-man pictures but could never do it. the closest i got was in my Wankstas piece with the BG so i learnt from that and threw in some more trickery id learnt along the way and Shazam! here you go.
course that wasn't the plan until like half-way through the piece but you don't need to know that...
