Do you know what is called in France a painting in  "trompe-l'oeil"?  Exactly that.

What a large size! The effect must be....staggering?

I too love to paint bread/pastry products. I only wish I was as good as you :c

This piece is marvelous. I like how you avoided the left side feeling "too dark and empty" by demonstrating acute awareness of values. You're great!

When I first saw the thumbnail for this appear in my notifications I wrote it off as a photograph; but, I couldn't help clicking on it to get a closer look. I was thrilled to learn that it was an excellent still life composed in a classic fashion.

It's brilliant.

With the advances in camera and image editing technology, I think artists who strive for photographic realism without creative embellishment should generally admit that video and photography are better media for their work. However, extremely realistic still life works like this are whole cloth fictions, composed and lit with an editorial hand. It takes a specific perspective to do these works with the skill on display here. The appreciation of such skills may be lost on an audience that can shoot photos of subjects like this with the phones they carry everywhere with them; but, I still think this type of work should have something more than a nostalgic value. This kind of work is much more demanding of an artist than applying filters in Photoshop or tracing a projected image on canvas.

Thanks for sharing your talent.
