Zed was a special bio-scienitst in Gotham who worked on DNA samples and finding new ways to bring back extinct species. Her work was revolutionary and gain traction fast, but shady corporate companies always want money and not whats right. They tried selling her out on a bargain that if she continued working for them they could begin a canned hunting arena so that very wealthy people could pay to hunt these extinct animals. She refused and in turn was going to be killed and have her research taken over by more willing people. To her suprise she was saved by,,,,a werewolf. This werewolf suprisingly did not eat her but instead brought her home and they talked. Plans were plotted. In exchange for a serum that could give the werewolf more control over their powers, the werewolf would lend their DNA to be used as a conduit for further DNA experimantaion. Things started out slow for Zed, needing money she would reguarly steal from hi-tech agenceies and sell on the black web or rob a bank, on the occasion shed bust an illegal animal smuggling and return these animals to a zoo with the culprits. Her work progressed and she was able to create a gas that turned those who breathed it into animals, a ironic way of handling these poachers. Further progression turned into her making a unique harness that could pump this gas now turned liquid into any animal she chooses that are available in the compartment (via. actual animal DNA or the computarized database that would combine the DNA into whatever animal of choice.) Thus giving her the abbility to shapeshift and posses a sort of power on her own. There was much trial and error, at one point the harness was damaged and ended up causing her to stay as an animal for an extremely long period of time until a cure was able to be administrated to her. This incident created two lifechanging events. As an animal, her human instincts and morality were quickly lost and she went on a rampage, eatting people and attacking anything that frightened her, inevitably she ran into Bane, and they fought tooth and nail until her werewolf friend was able to find them. With Banes help she was restrained and the cure was administrated. Banes intrest was peaked and thus he asked if she was able to make a much more powerful Venom that would have little to no drawbacks. She tried to refuse but he pressed on with not only being able to help fund her sherade but also that he could easily crush her and her friend if he trully wanted too. Relunctantly she agreed and began to set work on a better Venom. This sparked a partnership in the three as they began hanging around eachother more and slowly formed a small team. The usage of Zeds DNA serum slowly took a bad turn as, instead of it being just a simple enhancement it had intergrated itself into her own DNA and mutated it, now without need of the harness or the serum, she could turn into any animal she wanted just by thought.
