Description
This drawing was done using pencil crayon on black bristol board. I created it several years ago. It contains some of my favorite themes. The water shrines have stone tablets on top of them with symbols for masculine and feminine. In the center you see what appears to be a sort of bland figure out of which there seems to be emanating a bright, highly aware version of himself. On his right is a spirit guide and on his left is a guardian. The guardian was the first thing I drew in this picture and I had no idea what else I was going to do at that point. He was going to be known as a shadow-burner.

There's some slight discoloration you'll notice because I scanned the original drawing in more than 9 sections and pieced it together in photoshop. I think it's something like 25" x 32"

I refer to this style as "coloro obscurum" - to colour darkness.
