Ah, I see. I always prefer Red Yoshi's myself.
I guess it depends on the games, I always go for Black color for Smash Bros. and I always fav Blue in Super Mario World just because of the advantage of flying with any color koopa shell.

When I was a kid playing Yoshi's Story, for some reason I always did the best with the Yellow Yoshi, so it just became my favorite.
