Description

This was my favorite tree in the whole Sequoia forest. She was named "Mother of the Forest". She was mostly dead, but her story is why I love her. She was one of the grandest trees in the forest but when society found this forest they did not protect it as they should, but instead stripped the bark completely away from her. They took the bark and took it on a traveling display. Others would strip ...the bark from the trees for souveneirs. They killed so many trees out of greed and ignorance. The bark being stripped from the trees gave them no protection from fire or the weather, so the Mother of the Forest has been burned and killed. But when the traveling show came around with the Mother of the Forest's bark, it was this act of carelessness on display that triggered the very people that spoke up and did something to protect this awesome forest. So the Mother of the Forest gave her life, but saved this forest in turn.
