Description
Inside of the turtle totem pendant, the shell moves to the side and two little sea turtles are inside of the mamma turtle. The two baby turtles represent each of my kids, with the stone backs reprsenting their birthstone colors. That's a lot of time, but this is a very high quality piece.
I've only been doing lapidary work since February last year, but I made my first wire wrap pendant in November 2011. I didn't even know what lapidary was in 2007!
Silver prices are still reasonable. Gold is ridiculous.

Yah, silver is the best price it has been in a long while. I still cant afford it, haha! Do you ever get to go find your own stones, like in mines or just exploring? That would be a very fulfulling process to find it and take it all through the stages to a finished piece!

I wish I could go and mine my own crystals and stones, but I don't have transportation. I'm always looking for stones wherever I go. I have a few stones I picked up in parking lots that I've worked, but they're not jewelry quality. I have a tiny quartz(milky white) that I got out of my grandmas driveway that I want to make earrings out of someday.

Thank you AnimeMother, I have actually kept most of my silver-smithing creations. They are just so expensive becus of all the silver I put into it, along with my time, I just couldnt sell it! haha! And of course this one represented me and my kids, so it was a keeper for sure

Thank you! it was my final project in a silversmithing class I took a few years ago, and we had to incorporate at least three techhniques we learned in class. It took me awhile to complete! So thank you for letting me know!
