Well... Points are used for commission and other, you can charge them on your account from a card (prepayed/credit...), also from PayPal (but about the last I'm not sure, cause I don't use it...); however you can find a lot of informations into the "SHOP" window, near the "SUBMIT" button...
Personally, I finded that they are more useful for a lot of people, as occurs for art trades or barters!
