Just for showing the right side of the tack!This tack was an adventure: there are really little references for working with, but I solved the problem looking for sculptures... Unfortunatly, Vikings used wood and leather for making theyr tacks, and into swamps were find only metal parts. I was inspired expecially by what was found into the Buried Ship aka Ladby Skibet, Denmark.
THIS IS NOT REAL TACK, THIS IS A REPRODUTION THAT CAME FROM INCREASED COMPARISONS OF DIFFERENT HISTORICAL RECONSTRUCTIONS OF VIKING SADDLE TACKS.
TOTALLY HAND MADE TACK.
Genuine leather, wood.
