Oah the mood of this picture sure drastically changed since I started it.

I really hope her spotted hyena side is showing in spite of all the FX and so~ She was a lot of fun to draw!
Looks like the entire naval/pirates theme is growing on me? What's this?

Harr harr harr, this is awesome! Amazing how you made the whole compo dynamic and tense, almost movie-like. You know how to play on foggy parts and most visible elements, bringing movement. Love how the character turned out as for the background too, I like the boat details! and don't worry about the hyena side, it's still visible - then the snout turned a bit leonesque (probably inherited from your lions) but it actually give some personality, and permize to recognize your style. Enough talk now, we have to save DA RUM BARREL!!

I am so glad you like it! It's funny because the image started out with her just peering over at enemy ships or alike, but then suddenly with sunset came explosions and dynamics and fire and the whole jazz band. XD

Yeah! That's something I have to work on. I noticed their snouts were more "boxy" but there are things like the length that did slip in kinda. So I'm glad you can say it's part of the "style" or learning curve. :>

Well, no. XD Because I don't like to be not anatomically correct. Having people mistake the species of a character (or gender, everyone always says my women are men.....) is really not fun and it's a quality of bad art, not style I suppose.
