I think that it's too soft. The person's hair should be crisper around the edges, unless their hair is made of fuzz? The shape of the hair should be more defined. Same goes with the fire monster. I know hat things are blurry to make them blend, but the figures should definitely stand out with the background, so the crisper edges would help a lot with that. I also agree with eadaein about the inconsistent light source

Hello there...
Ok, take note that I am a newbie to the digital arts, I work mostly with pencils (or a camera lol) so when I offer suggestions keep in mind I have ideas but no idea how they could be done, if that makes sense.
Regardless... here we go, I love how light and detailed the fur is. It even looks like you could reach out and feel how soft it is. On the face I couldnt tell where the lighting source is. The shadowing makes it a little difficult to tell.
I like the creatures (flame?) eyes but the eyes of ice seem slightly off... The color is great, I think the depth is slightly off. Maybe more of an eyelid or a slightly different shaped eye.
The skin feels like it has a surreal glow to it, I do like that.

I am just starting out on drawing and always appreciate comments. Lots of people are happy posting a "beautiful" or "neat" maybe a "good job" but I dont learn from that. Even though its appreciated I really get more out of constructive criticism. A misconception is that someone needs to be super good at drawing/art/whatnot to post suggestions. I feel that anyone can see a flaw or how something can be improved, their lack of ability to explain how to fix it is irrelevant, just offering the suggestion that it could be fixed is enough. I hope that more post comments on mine so I can improve. When you make changes on yours I would love to see how you do... if your interested in me sticking my head in offering suggestions that is hehe
