Description
One of my works for an AP Art Studio class. Story time!!We had been asked to do a work that expressed contrast, and I had really been struggling to something other than a B&W picture for this project.
It was the day before the due date, and I was freaking out because none of the pictures I had taken were good enough for me. I've always liked my eyes, and I decided to take pictures of them to see if it would result in anything, since I had never had a powerful enough camera to photograph them. Everything was turning out to be much to plain for my liking, and I was about to give up and settle for a Black and White picture of an old jar next to a new one (Contrast of old and new, and all that jazz), when I suddenly had a spur of inspiration. I asked the teacher what paints were the least harmful to skin, and I grabbed the 4 bottles of acrylic paint (Blue, red, yellow, and white). I started coating my face in color, while my classmates were looking at me real funny.
After painting myself like a clown, I went back to taking pictures of myself using my S95 and a hand mirror, next to a window. I am pleased with the result, and the class had been impressed with the result. I honestly consider this to be one of my best works, ever.
And that's the story behind this picture, hope you all enjoyed it.
