Here's a new full color version of my creature design "The Tongue Collector". This will be printed in my new "Convention Sketchbook 2011" which will be available directly from me at the Wizard Chicago Comic Con. Ah, probably "porn" is the wrong word then: horror-erotica? Where what scares us to death also draws us sensually towards it? Succubus, female vampire, medusa, etc? I think you perfectly melt the two together here.

Sorry, just had to add another comment: is there a "Dark Porn" or "Nightmare Porn" genre? This illustration just seems to fit the bill for that. Such an outrageously attractive mix of both the female flesh (fleshy breasts, naked thighs) and horror (ribbed tentacles, those red eyes...). And it's not simply the two lumped together; it's how you expertly grafted the two, composed it, coloured it. I've looked at a dozen times already and I can't decide whether I'm ultimately drawn, or repelled by it.

I wouldn't consider this creature to be in any porn genre. She is just naked, like most wild creatures.
She is meant to blur the line between beauty, darkness and fear though. thanx

Dear Mr. Brase, your art never fails to amaze me. You rank today among the top artists with your incredible line work. I tried drawing with a 0.2 nib microtip, but the sheer scale of creating cross hatches across shadows proved to be too much for me. But looking at your art, I get amazed by the dedication, effort and sincerity of each drawing. Thank you for your dark visions and your incredible art.
