Description
--- To view more of my art, just pop along to my portfolio website at [link] ---This is a drawing of a cat surrealistically jumping out of a painting of itself, hence break out. Probably a lot of different ways you can interpret this piece and im not going to influence you, but id love to hear what you guys take it as meaning.
I had fun making up this piece but sadly i had to rush it due to ever decreasing time and deadlines
The reference i used was a great photograph by Wazabees called "I'm Gonna Eat You" you can see it here;

Thanks for viewing

Hmmm, I can also see this as how pictures (or even stories) come to life.
But anyways, this pic is incredible! Nice job!

The portrait is a 3D illusion on a 2D surface.. the cat that breaks out is a 3D reality in the drawing, but it is an illusion to us because in the end, it's still on a 2D surface ...
this is getting confusing XD

Inspiring. To break out of a two-dimensional world, to prove your worth, to have total independence, to escape from persecution. Those are a few things that I immediately gather from the picture. They're probably a little simplistic, but those were my immediate thoughts.
This is wonderfully illustrated. The details are amazing and the idea is easily conveyed. It is perfect. !

I have a black panther tattoo very similiar to this where he is breaking out through my skin. It's in my gallery. I love your drawing! Of course it's going into my favorites!

Fantastic job! I like the concept of the cat bursting through a painting of itself.

you did a great job here, the idea of breaking out of the painting itself is nice, like I want out.
have you got a written permission from the artist to use his photo?
