When I were a wee nipper I went to see Star Wars at the cinema ( yeah I am that old ) and, as with most people of my generation who first saw it, I was hooked ( although I am not an expert in the wider universe of SW... stopped with Return Of The Jedi with me really) The earliest I can remember drawing anything was drawing scenes from Star Wars, and in particular Darth Vader and his Tie Fighter. I know I am not alone in saying this, but I would credit Star Wars as being the reason I got into drawing. So this is a dedication to good old Darth

* I may try and do a tutorial on how to get that reflective smooth surface of the helmet at some point, as it is easier than it looks and can look really effective.
*added the codpiece. I intentionally left it out originally but it only served to make that belt look too high.

Such elegance! You've captured the sheer presence of this twisted Jedi but also have also suggested the anguish and torment he feels with the downward angle of his helm.
Excellent lighting, frames him wonderfully, I like how the background hues gradually get lighter toward the top, perhaps hinting there is some good left inside him beneath that mechanical armour and twisted hate.

Yeah he is a sad character and I reckon he was very lonely. I deliberately withheld painting a lightsaber in this to convey this contemplative mood
