Actually that wouldn't be so improbable. In fact, I think I should be able to do that. Actually since you're able to paint these, you shouldn't find it too hard to sculpt those yourself from SuperSculpey. You can get a pound of that stuff for 15€, that would make about 20$ or so. It's the best fine modeling polymer clay there is and even a kid can handle it since it only needs baking in a normal oven to become hard and stable.
Still,if you'd like me to give it a try, we could talk about it, I could sure use the practice when I'm done with my current project, so your only job left would be finding someone to make a resin cast so the figure could be reproduced.
I'd definitely want one for me and for some of my geekier friends
