Description
This is a game based on the classic game, chuckie eggThanks a lot for all the feedback on the demo, in answer to a few questions, there is no way to squash the ducks, or to jump right over them from a level platform... you just have to think one step ahead of the critters
Please tell me if you like it, don't like it, have found a bug, or got an ultra poppy score
Have fun now!
EDIT: okay, the pre-loader is zonked, don't worry if you don't see anything for a few seconds, it is loading 'behind the scenes'
Anyone know how to fix these things?

9450...beat the game but my score would have been way higher but those blasted ducks just keep me stuck

This has been my all-time favourite game! I remember playing it since about 6... I still play it in a ZX Spectrum emulator, my brother, who is also a great fan, got it for his mobile phone... And your work... It's simply amazing... It's as addictive as the original!

The game seems easy to do, but I know it's not... I started one clone myself in Delphi, but gave it up...
No time and other stuff, including programming bugs...

I found a bug btw. If you get the last egg on the level and hit a chicken at the same time the level restarts but there are no eggs left so you get trapped on that level...

Thanks for pointing out that bug, a couple of people on other websites have found it as well, but i've never been able to reproduce it myself, weird!

I have to say this is a very poor flash version of the classic chuckie egg, its just wrong. Nothing like the chuckie egg i used to play on the spectrum and BBC. I mean it looks nothing like it, has a completly different feel to the controls, dosnt even have the classic chuckie egg sounds.

Thanks for the comment - you're very right in all of that.
The graphics and feel of the controls were quite intentional; the old controls drove me nuts, especially the jumping. But there are several big things missing, most noticably the sound, which i now regret leaving out, but you live and learn

Hmm..... I'm not used to running for my life from duckies, but I believe I like it. ^^ Usually in games like this, you don't get to keep what you've accomplished if you wind up dead, because it keeps you from having to get things in the 'right order'... but then again, with limited lives, I guess it works out. Hit detection on the ducks is a little too loose... (loosey-goosey even, aaargh

thishas to be one of THE best games i have ever played online. its fun, simple and chalenging. i give it a 9 1/2 out of ten, you lost a half cause i kept dying and i suck at it

Great game! I finally got 9190 at the end of level six. Those ducks get really annoying after awhile. x.x anyway that game is really addicting! (really fun though!)

If you could give me some pointers for the preloading, that would be great
It uses getBytesLoaded / Total and works fine in flash studio, but not on the web :S
All the graphics are movieClips with export for action script on first frame switched on, if that makes any difference

If the loader is in its own movie clip, don't forget that it has to be _root.getBytesLoaded() and _root.getBytesTotal()
