Description
So another character I got to work on was revealed in the latest episode of Arrow on CW.The series ARROW and the character Dark Arrow are properties of DC comics.

The small gold highlights here really sell the background. I would have liked to have seen those come through in the final costume.

This looks so awesome! I'm a huge fan to the Dark Archer and when I found out that they were having him for the whole season 1 of this show I was like awww yeah but then he died and I was like "noooooooo" but Nicely done for this art. Kinda sucks they didn't do that full on concept on here, because they chose for the Dark Archer to have a compound bow instead of a curved short bow. Even that mouth mask is more awesomer than what they had on the show, it makes me wish they would've done it more like this picture for the character.

Since the archer is using a composite bow as opposed to a compound bow, I'm guessing that this is how Tommy will eventually look once he takes up his fathers mantle!

I only have one criticism: the bow that Dark Archer has a compound bow in the show, not a recurve. That is just me being a perfectionist. It looks good with a recurve as well. Also, I never noticed that the Archer had his eyes showing. I love this.
Also, you should try other characters, like Count Vertigo but with the color scheme as the comic's version, Firefly, Deadshot, or the Royal Flush Gang. Just some options (:

This is not a fan art, this was the concept illustration for the show. They would have decided to change the bow after this piece was finalized. What you end up seeing on the show always differs from the original concepts. Things change when they actually go to put the costume together. Makes it really fun to see the show and compare how they turned out.
So far, only have the characters I was hired to illustrate, but I'm not posting them until they have aired so as not to spoil anything.
