Wonderfully captured! Their headwraps really stand out against all the patterns on their clothing. I wonder why they are blue instead of red to go with the overall design. Just curious

your work has a distinctive quality to it. there is always a signature portrait -- a clarity and definition of the moment or object.

its an intentional moment in time captured in a fashion to record beauty and great moments in life

Expressive Dancing Hands. Your comment is one of the most beautiful compliments I have ever received. You expressed something that most people find difficult to put into words and you made it seem easy. You have a writer's soul. Thank you. You are right, yet sometimes we don't get an answer and that hurts a little. But I shall forget bad experiences. Thank you again.

I love them and their costumes!!
And I really like them because they don't need to move as typical dances, whith all the body, to be elegant and natural.

Wow this is so beautiful... Im curious, if you dont mind me asking, how do you get the background to be out of focus like that and the foreground to be so clear? Is it something the camera does or does it take editing?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

AndySerrano In reply to KitMarin [2009-08-21 00:19:40 +0000 UTC]

It's a Nikon SLR and I can focus the camera on one or many points while blurring all else. Also, it was evening and the camera needed to be steady since there was not a lot of light. So, I put the camera on a monopole. That allowed me to turn quickly to any subject that might come by. A tripod would be much less accomodating. Thank you for the fave.
