View from the Top of Half-Dome UPDATED PHOTOThis is one of the views from the top of Half-Dome in Yosemite. On Saturday, June 20, 2009, Kathy, Robin, Julie and I went to Yosemite to hike and climb to the top of Half-Dome (right side of the photo). It's a 17 mile round trip and a 4,000 foot elevation gain. We started at 5:00 AM and returned at 5:00 PM.

It's a straight drop down - actually, 4,000 feet straight down. Yet, people sat on the very edge.

And I wish like I was in Prague. Your photos are lovely. Someday if you visit the US, come to Yosemite. However, you have the Alps in Switzerland. That's just as good. Heaven really is in your own backyard!

I saw your pics from Yosemite, they're nice. I think Yosemite is better than Alps (I was in Austrian and Slovenian Alps.)
When I come to USA, i'll surely visit Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Alaska, Arizona...etc... USA has great natural sights...

If you go to Yosemite, make sure your first visual is from "Glacier Point." If you see it first from this place, it
will take your breath away.
