I like the photo. I think the contrast is very nice and it is quite unique.
I'm just not sure about the cropping... I'm all for weird crops, I think it adds flare to the photo, but you have to be careful with just how weird the crop is. You cropped off the bottom of the pot and put a huge amount of negative space at the top, this instantly takes away a lot of impact.
And perhaps if that small glare at the bottom of the pot wasn't there it would look a bit better too.
All in all its a good photo, but the cropping really bothers me.

I agree with you. The glare could've been avoided. About the cropping; I didn't have anything good to have the pot on, and I don't think it looks better with it. I don't have any kind of studio equipment either, so there you go
