I had mixed feelings about Jenna, actually. I liked her overall, but found her to be so very bitter. And I had mixed feelings about Linden, especially once I learned that he didn't know that the girls were kidnapped to be his brides rather than volunteers. Rhine was my favorite. Even though she was the least active, I felt like she had a really good balance of head and heart. She didn't really hate Linden overall, was just wary of him. But she didn't act like Cecily, and just embrace the deadly situation.
Cecily frustrated me, but I didn't hate her. I actually felt kind of sorry for her because she seemed to think Linden loved her, and she was probably going to live just long enough to find out how wrong she was.
I liked Gabriel, but didn't feel like I saw enough of him to get really attached. I love Rhine's speech to get him to run away with her, but I think I could have been better sold on their closeness if they'd just had more interaction.
Linden... feelings all over the place with Linden. Good and bad. On the one hand, I was relieved to find out he didn't really *know* because he'd seemed so likeable in so many ways that it just didn't make sense. But on the other hand, I don't really respect his choices. Sleeping with Cecily? Cecilly, clearly more child than adult? Douche move. Sleeping with Jenna? Who was willing to use him but also clearly hated him? Stupid move. I get that one of the reasons he wanted Rhine so badly was because she reminded him of his past wife so much, and she really was the most emotionally stable of the three, but it was annoying how much he seemed to ignore the fact that she mostly wanted him to go away. And you'd think--even with his uncle's manipulations--he'd at least clue into the fact that *something* is wrong... but he doesn't. Or chooses not to. Neither one says much good about him.
My best hope for Linden is that he actually does learn to care about Cecily. 'Cause I'm sure as heck that he doesn't deserve Rhine.
Horrible dastardly things should happen to Vaugh, of course.
I just hope that Gabriel and Rhine get to spend more time together and develop a cool dynamic in Fever. And I really hope I get to see Rowan!

I agree for the most part. Cecily offered herself, body (not so much soul) to linden. I agree that their sexuality was innapropriate yet linden is a man raised by the spawn of the devil himself and I was not at all suprised at his decision to impregnate her. Honestly I do not like Rowan too much. Never really got his back story fully and therefore I feel no attachment to his character at all. Jenna I agree was a bit bitter. You have to really put yourself in her shoes though. Vaughn murdered her sisters, emprisoned her, and probly injected her which shortened her life at 19. She is just a shy and soft spoken girl who has learned to hide herself from the world through receeding into the depths of a romance novel. How do you feel about Deirdre? Adair? elle? rose? I thought Deirdre was the little romance and her handiwork seemed beautiful b how Rhine described it. adair i felt bad for when Jenna died and he was sold.... and elle. -eh- hardly got any backstory on that one. Don't get me wrong i really liked Rhine's character. he was witty and smart and beautiful and a rave actress. haha. Linden seemed sweet and gentle yet oblivious and he tended to day dream.
