Description
I saw a girl do this on tv and so decided to draw it. I think I'll ink and color it as soon as I'm sure it's just as it should be.Related content

that's amazing!! I'm writing a story about a bunch of circus performers, and one of my characters is a contortionist. This picture is inspiring me in so many ways right now...I guess I could say that you've utterly made my day!
Flippin' awesome! (pun intended? kind of...? lol)

lol, Well that's great! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I've actually thought of doing a re-make of this picture lately. I guess I'll have to see if it comes to be.
Good luck with your story!

Cool :3 I love how concentrated her face is, yet she looks so calm and makes it appear as a very easy thing to do, but then she must have trained for hours and hours...
Beautiful linework! I just love her face and hair ^_^

Thank you so much for the comment and the favorite!
I was really impressed by your gallery! But I realized that I had seen your Oracle picture before and I was like, "Oh! Now I know why that username looks so familiar!" (I set one of your pics as my desktop 'cause I liked it so much. ^^) I think it's just amazing all the things a human body is capable of.

I can't even do a hand-stand let alone that. You did a great job with this drawing.

Thanks, Ben. I've started drawing another contortionist pose now too. It's pretty cool to draw them all twisted.

You really did a great job on this. My only suggestions would be to re-work the feet a bit because they don't look the same size and to adjust her shoulder. The ridge of her shoulder shouldn't be completely flush with her back even in that stretch. It's quite a dynamic pose though, I think I remember seeing a commercial for this show.

Yeah, I did notice the feet were a little different, but I didn't see the shoulder part at all! That's a great suggestion, thanks!
It was pretty awesome to watch the girl do this. She even put a blindfold on. I've always liked contortionists because it's amazing how they can use their bodies. There was a very talented ten-year-old handbalancer I saw in the Dralion, a group of the Cirque du Soleil. She was really something too.

The show was America's Got Talent. The girl's name is Lilia Stepanova (the one who did that pose). There's a youtube video of it but you have to be a member because supposedly the material is "offensive" (which, unless you're offended by contortionists - shouldn't be a problem).
Nice work. And yeah, feet and shoulders. I love the costume you used though.
