This year's Exalted Secret Santa art exchange was just the incentive I needed to finish Kalara's character reference sheet! I roleplay and write about this gal in the Exalted tabletop setting from Onyx Path Publishing. But we're not finished yet! I still need to do separate sheets for her expressions, wardrobe, equipment, etc.
Character Introduction:
Once a former slave, Kalara Vadras rose from obscurity to defy the very Guild that once freed her from a brutal life. The day they tried to crucify her is the day they sealed their fates, the day the power of the Unconquered Sun came to her.Those who witnessed her near-execution have dubbed her The Uncrucified, a wanted murderer or a Patron Saint of Slaves, depending on who you talk to. Now, she seeks revenge against the Guild and the abolishment of slavery throughout Creation through any means necessary.

It's been a while since I checked up on The Uncrucified - have you written anything about her exploits as one of the Chosen, or have you just left it at her backstory.

I'm still working my way through Kalara's mortal years in Gem and Chiaroscuro, but I HAVE written about 30 pages of her adventures in the early days of Exaltation. This story is the sequel to The Uncrucified and will be called The Uncrucified: The Silver-Tongued Devil. I won't be sharing it till I finish the mortal adventures first, though, since it picks up immediately after the end of the first story ending in her Exaltation.
(But if you are interested in the WIP version of The Silver-Tongued Devil, I could possibly message it to you privately. :3)

I love the look of this character! I have a somewhat similar Exalted character named Honor. She too was a slave, but on the Blessed Isle. She is also a person of the air. And a Dawn Caste.
Honor has created a large empire in the south east ruled from the city of Aurin. She tollerates no slaves or Guild presence within her territory. She and her allies are something to be feared, as we managed to destroy the Ex-Wife of Honor's former master. She was a Dragonblooded infernalist and through some really intense machinations, we made it so she was a KNOWN ANATHEMA and let the Wyld Hunt know where she was coming out of Malfeas at. We actually worked it so that she had declared war on a rival house and it just so happened to be the most militant and aggressive of the houses. Basically we framed her for a bombing... The battle between her and the other dragonblooded was intense, and we watched it from our airship.
And that is just ONE of the stupidly awesome things we had done.

That sounds like an amazing concept and adventure you've had with Honor. Muahah so much underhanded plottings. Thanks for sharing it! It sounds like there are definitely a lot of like minded characters Kalara could share a drink with among my fellow players.
The most epic thing we've done in our adventures where I've played Kalara is to take down a Deathlord and his Knights. The night started with a dinner and negotiations and ended with ALL of us expending nearly all of our essence to fight him 5 on 1. It was intense and he probably would've beaten us if he wasn't so arrogant!

Awesome! Right now my character and her team mates are on their way to Mt. Maru to explore for tombs belonging to the party's former exaltations, and find information on how to fix the Loom of Fate. My character is mostly just there to keep the others from getting killed. She has a different motivation, but she supports her team in theirs too.
Also, my character has a "sister" who is also a person of the air. She is a Fire Aspected Dragonblooded who is also a heavy tank. The pair of them usually make short work of anything we face, though the Lunar in the party is pretty good at tanking if she wants. In truth, both Honor and Ygrett share a destiny that no matter what, they are always together and support each other. They come as a set, and it just so happens that one is a solar now, and the other is a fire aspect dragonblooded.
I'd love to share more of our crazy antics and characters, cause I am probably the most vanilla of my team... Just don't expect cool character sheets like this one, I really can't draw for shite right now.

Aah Mt Maru! Our characters only just now discovered that it MIIIGHT be a problem that's essentially left unguarded during a Yozi invasion currently happening in our game. So much to do as a Solar, so little time! We've been too busy trying to cement political alliances to take care of that Mt Maru thing. XD
Sounds like you have a cool cast of characters on epic adventures! I miss Exalted. Hopefully I'll be able to play soon after our ST is done with a well-deserved break!

The crucifixion scar is talked about in the little text box above on the sheet, but the brand and other scars on her back are from a life as a slave in Gem and Chiarascuro. The short version is the brand was a trademark of the slaver who raised her who specialized in grooming children for service. The back scars are from a scourging where the wife of her master insisted she was seducing her husband and forced him to prove otherwise. The shrapnel scars are from an explosion due to sabotage at the site of a ruin.
There's a lot more emotion tied to all of those events which are more evident in the novelization of her past I've been working on, for the curious!
