Sehr geiles Potrait! Ich mag die Farben vom Holz und das rote Kleid (?), passt super zusammen!

lol, sorry, missed that part. Though, when I first glanced at the description I noticed you refering to your "mum" and was momentarily confused

I'd switch the ball lightfixture and your head --
put the empty ball fixture for your head, and your head suspended from the lightfixture wire.
it would really be a disturbing picture, but would more accurately convey your emotions of what you actually underwent.
Here in this shot, you look serene, together, calm, and in charge of your surroundings. It's a great composition, but not really what's inside.

well, first, its not me in this picture, second, the furniture she is having her hand on weights hundrets of kilos and would be in now way be able to put in any another direction, third, its a fashion shooting and not meant to be THAT emotional and last but not least, this is by FAR my most favourite picture i did this year and i would i no way change the light balls position. it doesnt make any sense for me to put it in front of my head or above or sth. its your opinion, of course, but youre writing as if i would be completely studid and not having any emotion or expression in this picture beside a calm composition, what was obviously my intention to force the slight emotional expression of her.

oh, I did not intend for you to move the furniture at all. You could simply photoshop the switching of head and light fixture.
of course, as a fashion shot, it would not work.
as a surrealistic shot, it definitely would.
I am not writing as if you would be completely stupid -- I'm very sorry that it appeared that way.
I knew that the entire ordeal generated tremendous stress, and the switching of the head and the light fixture would certainly create an image indicative of what you underwent -- regardless of whether the person depicted is you or not.
Obviously, what one would use for a fashion shoot is different from what one would create without certain defining constraints.

well, i dont photoshop things in my pictures, except colours and contrast. i'm a photographer and not a composer. but thanks anyway for your input. there is always a "different" picture, i just dont like the change the whole content of sth. and though i appreciate your opinion, it doesnt help me to improve my style, you know.
take care.

the shapes and colours work perfectly together in this composition.
it becomes almost abstract, in spite of the identifiable objects and person.

Das Leitmotiv des zweiten Bandes ist beispielsweise "We were given shapes each, when we were born. And live under it, trying to keep it somehow. 'Til in the end we melt away ---"

first of all, plese forgive me for being late on this reply, I've been busy with that weird consequence of events called life :s
then about my comment, I do believe that your shots aim to perfection.
In this one, the way you've managed lights, composition is, to my eyes, perfect.
For me perfection can not be considered as a single element, but it is the blend of several aspects.
in this case, the technic is used to transmit emotions.
I see a commercial shot in this picture (I can almost feel the fabric of her shirt under mu fingers). But it conveys intimacy it creates in me the curiosity to know what she is thinking, or if she is waiting for someone or something.
And for me it perfect.
this does not mean that you've reached your goal or that I do not expect anything better from you.
actually the journey has just begun. now I want to bee surprised again by your shots.
you've just traced a line. there is so much to discover after it.
I hope this made some sense. It was difficult for me to explain what I meant in the previous comment.
and remember that I'm just a newbie photographer (and hopefully I won't ever stop to be that )
