John Talbain, at long last.Talbain needs some love, especially seeing as how seemingly half the gaming community wants him in the upcoming MvC3 (I, for one, would be happy with Darkstalkers 4).
Wanted to see how much more used to drawing on a tablet I had gotten since the Felicia pic. Comments welcome!

Edit: Finished! Tried for a much faster rate of work, this one took about 7 hours to draw and paint. Long way to go, still.

Darkstalkers was one of my favorite Capcom fighters. I mean where else can one find a Brittish Rockstar Zombie fighting an Aztec War God on a Friday at Putt-Putt? No where else I'd wager.

Finished. Massaged the lines into the shading, but kept it for the face for the detail.

Looks really good ^_^ But I think you're doing yourself a disservice by leaving the lines in. That's just my opinion though.

It was mentioned in an interview that DS4 was a distinct possibility. I look forward to seeing it, and possibly any new additions to the... family.

I'm not 100%... but didn't Darkstalkers introduce the idea of "air-canceling"?

I know they introduced Air Blocking (possibly guard reversals, but I don't remember if SFA or DS3 came out first), but I've never been much of a player so I wouldn't know about air cancelling.

I'm afraid I don't have a link, but I read somewhere that Capcom used the darkstalkers series to try new things out without risking messing up street Fighter. If by "air cancelling" you mean being able to chain normals in the air, then yes, darkstalkers had it first.
