The city was left in smoldering ruins after the giants had their playful romp. Firefighter Joe Jr. went to see if he could help out some of the tiny survivors. His immense boots pounded the earth as he rushed to catch the leaning upper portion of a crumbling office building. He decided to rip the structure right off, sending terrified tenants still inside tumbling like dolls as he hefted it over his mighty shoulder. That was better than letting it fall over, right?

Men and women trapped on a nearby rooftop thought they were doomed when JJ's approach made the whole block quake. But when the young giant unexpectedly extended his hand, they all shakily leapt into it anyway. All the little ones could do was hope that they were being saved, and not saved for later.
