Porting a useful tutorial from my blog here to DA! I've seen some gorgeous masks on this site, only to sigh at the dark, grainy, or just plain bad photography of such beautiful items.I hope this tutorial sheds a little light on how to photograph your masks clearly! These are methods that work for me and are merely my suggestions.

Probably! You'd be surprised how many people poorly light their masks. Some things look more artistic when lost in shadow. A product shot is not one of them.

Thanks for the tips - I've never used a reflector before - I'll have to try that out.

Cool! Glad I could help out. If a reflector's not around to use, a large piece of white matboard works too. Good luck!
