Well, use the pen tool. Make an anchor point anywhere you want, then click somewhere else to make another anchor point, hold and drag. This will give you a nice curve, then you can make more anchor points with similar technique. Just mess around with it for a while and you'll get the hang of it.

Hey.. I read the tutorial, trying to give some cnc here... it appears to me that, quite simply, other then your typography, you don't do an aweful lot. Only the first step seems useful.
Other then that I really don't see much artistic value in this, unless the stock is self-drawn or made.
The end effect is nice, but it's mostly the stock that makes the sig here.

I like simplistic sigs, plus there's more subtle effects...I don't like to load sigs with effects tho I could if i felt like it...
