Description Finally got around to finishing this. As with most things, I am not 100% decided yet, but after I'm done with my Sovereignty 'heavy machineguns' series, I might post two little bits of Project A lore. Assuming I do, one is going to be fairly minor, while the other is going to be a much bigger deal that's gonna help to narrow the scope of my worldbuilding and give significantly greater context for the direction of my work. Afterall, my end goal is to create a library of reference material and legitimately publish written novels set in my Project A universe. However, for now, lets check out these weapons:

1: RK-55 Automatic Arc Cannon - A particularly destructive heavy weapon, the RK-55 Automatic Arc Cannon is an incredibly powerful tool for mid range, high intensity combat. This electron-beam weapon fires successive high energy bolts of yellow-blue lighting, a single shot of which can take out most regular foes. This heavy machine gun is great for laying down destructive fire on enemy infantry, however it’s best used against large single targets or machines, like the Ogres of the Triumvirate League, or Protothan combat automotions; due to the electrical nature of the RK-55, it can act as a directed EMP weapon against enemy software/hardware. Though undoubtedly powerful, the weight of this machine can make it difficult for soldiers to utilize without a specialized powered-exosuit, and it’s intense recoil can take some getting used too. The RK-55 is regularly fielded in tandem with a backpack ammunition source like most machineguns; however, if this is not an option the weapon comes equipped with an internal 720 shot rechargeable battery. For more specific statistics, this heavy electron weapon fires 97,200 joule bolts of electricity at around 305 RPM.

2: MA-95 Long Lance - The MA-95 Long Lance is an interesting weapon with a variable damage output that adds a comfortable level of flexibility for the needs of a battle. Undoubtedly the largest, and nearly the heaviest of machine guns utilized by the United Sovereignty of Nations, the Long Lance is a great tool for long range suppression. In addition to the standard fully automatic firing mode one would expect, the Long Lance also has a four round burst mode, and an augmented single-fire mode. With the slight caveat of a short charge time between shots, the weapon can supercharge it's magnetic rails to expel a single round with nearly the same force as a handheld mass accelerator cannon, turning it into a long range anti-vehicle or anti-fortification tool. The weapon is more accurate than other heavy machine guns as well, with tighter projectile spread. It’s these traits that make the Long Lance a welcome sight to any heavy weapons squad. For more specific statistics, this machine gun expels 14x50mm projectiles at 500 RPM with a muzzle velocity of 2050 m/s, while the augmented charge-up mode magnifies it’s muzzle velocity to roughly 3100 m/s while switching to a 100 RPM semi-auto rate of fire. The weapon comes equipped with a 500 round magazine, although it is most commonly fielded with an ammunition belt instead.
