I like the 2D stuff but the render could have been smoother imo
Also, the big part of the render on the left side feels a bit out of place to me.
Nonetheless its a fine piece, dont get me wrong

I really like it, especially the part left of the cyan-light, which is all blurry and stuff.. How did you manage that? Could you possibly ever make a tutorial, I'd love to see that ^^.
Ow, the purple in the piece stands out too much, it is too sharp and it is only present in that part of the piece.

Not the center part, but the one left to it, that section, how do you do that? Distortion? But mine always look crappy

The blue wisps flowing around blend in nicely and accent the piece very well (if they faded out near the end, it would look awesome) - however I feel that the purple is not a "natural" color in the image (not represented elsewhere in the image - I see themes of blues, yellows, and whites in the focus of the image) and although it works well on the side as spirals, the splat in the middle seems a tiny bit out of place to me.
The electrification of some of the lines (for lack of a better term, sorry :/) is a nice accent as the chaos of the center branches out from (dare I say it) the shock of an epiphany, and smooths down and becomes more understandable after that initial "rush" is finished.
