Description
We had an assignment in Drawing I to draw an animal so I decided to draw my daddy(I associate everyone I know with animals, he's a lion). I left the eyes until last and it was a very good choice since as soon as those eyes were in there I saw my father immediately. Shrunk this down for easier uploading and it took two scans to get this much, this isn't even the whole thing. I cropped it some for the digital copy haha

A little personal here//
It's almost been an entire year since he died and I'm not sure how much of an emotional wreck I'll be when it comes to Thanksgiving(he died November 26th). I'm really hoping it doesn't interfere with work and school but I nearly cried in the classroom as soon as I put the soul into this lion. I'm absolutely thrilled with how this turned out, by the way. I wish he could be here to see it. It both looks so much like him and not like him at all. When I showed my mom, who is also an artist, she said he would've LOVED to have looked like this if he were a lion. Made me so happy ;w;
