I like.. promised myself I would not.

Because it's another picture in my parents' closet... Which is just awkward to admit.

However, the overwhelmingly wonderful responses I've gotten thus far about this costume in particular made me change my mind, as I have no idea when I'll be able to get a real photoshoot done for it! (Or any of my new cosplays, for those of you checking my Facebook fanpage... here: [link] )

I originally hadn't planned to be Flynn Rider/Eugene Fitzherbert, much less anything Tangled or Disney (For a long time. I still dream of one day being Ariel or Gizelle.. <3 ) to be completely honest. My Halloween plans were to fix up Yusei, but a strange little twist of fate came when I asked what we the final verdict on our theme this Halloween was.

She said she wanted to do Tangled, as with Halloween being the only time of the year she can really cosplay anymore, I complied. After going through the options of a Pascal or a Maximus Gijinka, which I turned down as I felt I wanted to be somewhat recognizable this Halloween, (Not to mention I simply wasn't going to be Mother Gothel... I like her, but not that much. XP) we decided I should be Flynn, and I was very hesitant to the idea at first, as I hadn't felt I was a good match, what with the facial hair and all.

However, I finished the costume in basically 2 days before a Halloween-themed charity event that I was attending, and I surprisingly... warmed up to the idea strikingly fast, and eventually couldn't see myself being any other character from Tangled.

Costume Construction worked like this:
Vest- Made with a Blue Costume Suede and lined with an anti-static apparel lining. The collar stands on its own, because I placed an extra thick layer of interfacing between the inner and outer collar. Pearl Snaps were used for the little decorative pieces on his sleeves, and a snap system was used to keep the vest together, rather than a buckle one, simply for ease and consideration of the fabric types used.

Shirt underneath was actually bought, because I couldn't find a pattern with the correct collar.. The belts came from other cosplays and the side bag is actually brown suede (Leftover from my Johan cosplay! ) that I sewed together in 20 minutes before I left the previous day, so it still needs to be fixed up.

The pants are simple pajama pants, but made from bottomweight fabric and lined with some apparel lining so they'd stay slightly poofy for me. XD (And not stick to my smallll frame. D: )

Boots came from Marshall's, but I removed the original buckles, and made a new buckle-whatever those things are out of craft foam.

The wig's a Jett from Arda, and I actually made my own fake goatee for this using liquid latex and crepe wool. (I'm planning on making a tutorial on it, as I have plenty of leftover stuff and I hadn't found any picture tutorials of the method I used.)

And yeah, I'm Flynn Rider, guys! Just need my satchel! And the tiara I.. keep planning on stealing.. xD
