Description
at least its true in my case... i keep having problems with the game since i bought the basic version years ago.. it installed in very bad, so i couldnt make the game speed up and such...later it completly stopped working and it took literally YEARS to find out what was wrong...then when i gixed it, reinstalled game and even formated PC to find out that the problem was one fucking detail, the game worked quite fine... but then alot of problems with downloaded packages poped up... the worse part of the sims 3 is fact the game will work wrong or stop working completly right away when you put in a broken package :/ in the sims 2 there if i had a broken package, the game simply kept working fine, only without using that broken package... but now? I have to keep checking all that ton of packages to find out the one that causes all the problems.. even worse is if everything works ok, but then you buy a new Stuff or expansion pack and suddenly some package doesnt like the change and breaks the game again..and then you find out that its not only one package, but two packages that work fine in the game if one of them is missing.. but if both of them are in the game, it breaks up =.= jsut like it happened to me and so i made this stamp...
yesterday i bough one expansion pack and one stuff and then it took me TWO days to find out what was wrong..one package desided not to like another one together with these new installed stuffs...so yeah.. now i finally fixed it and im going to finish the other part of the stamp.. to play it for 3 hours and "luckily" to find out another problem after then
Oh and one more thing i forgot to tell before >< when i had the problem with game last time again, told me something similar: "you spend 3 hours fixing problems and 1 hour playing it" that inspired me to make this stamp and mainly she was right >< BUT it is worth to spend so much time by fixing it..i jsut like the game ;A;

but it is still the only sims game to date that does not routinely crash X''D (and it has more features than two and four)

oh gawd XD if you had the playstation ver no wonder, that was basically all the good parts of the game neutered and the house-building shunted entirely for 'story' X______x it was basically a bastard beta love child of one and two but with none of the fun of either(and of course a lack of downloads means none of what makes simming so long-lasting)
nah, the pc ver is where the good stuff is

actually i liked the story thing, i wouldnt mind if it was in pc sims, but only as a choice, not as the only mode XD but hey i think it was also sims 2 i had fro playstation and that was really creepy thing .___. but i liked that you could become the character and just walk and run around by controlling it with arrows, and mainly! you could choose ingredients to make own original food that had its goods and bads xD

bad food? XD ok, that i do not remember, in the first sims all foods are classified as a meal, a snack, or poison(my current simmy has more than thirty eating choices each day but they all fall in those three categories xD )
i like the point-and-click option though, you can do everything from a stationary point and not have to worry about things happening outside of your scope because your sim got bored or stuck on a couch X''D

I've been having a serious problem with my Sims 3 game. I can build and furnish home + create a family with no problems at all. Then when I try to play in Live Mode, not even 30 seconds it crashes to my desktop. I dunno what the hell's going on. It was working fine when I installed it nearly a month ago. Maybe it's the new patch, 'cause my computer holds 600 GB on the hard drive.

if you also download some packages from internet, its possible that it's packages' fault...try run it without custom content...if it will work, let me know and i'll help you to find out what package causes the problem

Oh, I don't put any custom content on my game at all. The most recent install I put on my game was the Showtime expansion pack. The other games I have installed are expansion packs as well. I have the base game, Late Night, Generations, Ambitions, and Pets. Then my game version is 1.48.5
the launcher however reads: 12.0.273.02001
EA just released a new patch. I'll test it to see if it fixed the problem. If not then I dunno what's going on.

Working fine for me at present but yeah, I know the frustration it can create. A game shouldn't require so much work to be able to play it.

the most annoying part for me is creating the house >< its boring for me, but for example i like to spend time with creating sim for whole a day xD but spending time with looking for broken package or part of the game really is annoying >< lucky you that it works well for you ><
