I think the path is a bit too straight as it leaves to no where. Usually
in a composition a path is the main subject in which a viewer expects it to
lead to a distant or close destination. The path is blocked by a large bush, which
brings the bush by the path more attention to the overall composition.
I do like the houses in the distance though, and your wonderful use of colors, especially how
it affects the contrast of closeness and distance.
You are very good with watercolors as I seem to still struggle with its application!

thats what i wanted in this case.... to make a focal point the path is just suggestive of many possibilities...perhaps it leads to those houses...perhaps not....
Yes....in most paintings paths have a destination
this painting is just free and lucid...the brush work on the bush is of my primary importance.....everything else is secondary hence left with little to no details
I am also going through many shifts in my painting style.... early on it was plain and simple...then it became very detailed and well structured... now it is of a different flavor.... now it is all about using the potential of watercolor...to create something only watercolor can
you have improved a lot since my last time in da..both in sketching and painting...many congrats for that.....
yes, still there are bits of problems here and there in your watercolor painting but do not worry...this is how watercolor goes on... it is a lifetime struggle... enjoy what you do...play with colors and eventually better results will come good luck

I see what you mean about the bush being the focal point....
I am not as experienced about composition. Yes, the brush
is the primary importance of your painting. Are you still taking
lessons on painting? Or is your "shift in painting style" from
you? Wow....I don't know how to think about shifting.... I just paint
and not think about it. Are your paintings from your imagination or
from a picture? (:
I appreciate your noticing my improvement, although at times I deal
with frustrations and so I don't do any artwork for several weeks....

Shifting will come naturally...once you have the appetite and right attitude for paintings Sooner or later you will have it Once you expertise certain pattern of watercolor paintings...You will automatically think"next is what?" and this is the question that will bring the shift
keep going
