ahh i didn't see this til recently, sorry! i am kinda shy with comments ;; i saw your john one a little while ago and really liked it, and this one is really nice too. i like how jade looks really intense here, and i really like how you did the shading on the ear as well as the subtle tonal gradation to the wing. keep it up! c:

tonal gradation is when the is a small, smooth transition in the tone, instead of the values. in this picture, it's when you colored the wing lighter than the rest of the body, and instead of it looking like it was highlighted or in the sun, it looked like the wing feathers were actually a lighter, more gently glowy color. the transition from the feathers to the body was also very nice and continuous. c:
