Description
This is what I'm now working on. The lineart has taken ages but it's my home away from home when I want to escape to somewhere nice. I can't wait to dive in there to paint the world with probably quite bright colors. I hope you look forward to seeing this piece finished

The perspective is really interesting. I like how the focus is in the center with everything else sort of falling away on the sides, as if it's painted on the surface of a sphere

Wow thanks. That must be an interesting job. I try to think about the daily life inside the town when I draw something like this but truth be spoken it's not from the perspective of convenience.
I thought of Village of Carrots like one of those old towns that has been built upon for a long time without destroying the original houses much. This is why you see such small houses even in the middle and bigger ones outside. Also the road system is heavily inspired by how I love bridges and the labyrinth look of old towns built in steep valleys. There you probably end up taking a lot of small shortcuts between houses to reach your destination and in my (child's)mind it feels like a mini adventure each time
