As the year comes to an end, we bid farewell to Disney's mascot, Mickey Mouse. A symbol of our childhoods is screwed big time. Disney is about to lose the rights to one of my favorite characters because if copyright protection expire, Mickey will enter the public domain in 2024, resulting in horrible ripoffs by companies like Paramount, and badly panned horror films that turn the character into bloodthirsty murderers (you guys know what happened to Winnie the Pooh, and I don't even want to talk about THAT).

Because of this, Mickey will no longer be the mascot or the face of Disney, and if you ask me who should replace him, it should be none other than Disney+'s most famous character, Stargirl Caraway. (Yes, there are TWO films which are the most watched things on Disney+ and I'm not even making this up you guys). She's the only real reason we all have Disney's cash cow of a streaming service. I'm sure there is an alternate universe where the duology received a lot more than critical acclaim.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 100% with an average score of 10/10, based on 177 reviews.

At Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, the film received a score of 100 out of 100 based on 360 critics, indicating "universal acclaim".

Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film the legendary "S+" grade on an A+ to F scale.

Stargirl also won every Oscar and Grammy it was nominated for.

This is the same story for the sequel, and we also got a series of sing along collections from folk music to classic country songs. The first film is the most watched thing on Disney+ while the sequel is the second most watched.
