Imagine if Mario and Sonic had crossed paths even before the Olympic Games and the Smash series, like in the '90s when their animated series were running.

That's pretty much what they're talking about here, although they never did get the idea presented to their production company, DiC (pronounced "deek").

It was fun doing this, esp with the models that were made by JCThornton . Putting these guys together for a chat was fun, esp with the confusion that Luigi felt about how Sonic phrased his comment.
