The first 'toons that featured the zooming shield in 1936 had nothing on this!Β From what I'd seen from that year, it came in pretty big, especially in the Merrie Melodies series, but imagine when it comes in a little TOO close to the audience!
Then again, there was a time they did it for a 3-D short, "Lumber Jack Rabbit," but not like this!

Reminds me of how I thought the WB Films logo was actually put into the sky and filmed. Like, no CG involved.
Example:
"You'd be terrified too, if you were stuck on the logo while it was airborne, or you were at risk of being crushed by it when it finally came down!"
As for this, I imagine I wouldn't be happy if this thing came crashing though my flatscreen. Ripping it open, spilling plasma everywhere... and then landing on my living room floor and cracking it! Oh the mess that'd make!
