Ah, the Tick. How I remember the '90s cartoon as the big blue guy bounced from roof to roof in The City, taking out chunks of roofing along with him.

Also enjoyed the 2001 live action version with Patrick Warburton. The other superheroes changed in comparison to the cartoon, but he still had Arthur as his sidekick/confidant.

Then comes the Amazon-produced reboot. Actually, it's really good, with creator Ben Edlund supervising, so the actor pretty much nails the speech patterns and stuff. The one big difference between this and the others is how adult-oriented it gets, with a good dose of language and a couple of pretty violent episodes.

My only beef with the new series: We got the pilot ep in the summer of 2016, and when they finally launched new eps this past August, we only got five of them, leading to an early cliffhanger.

Hoping it won't be another year to see more.
