Description "Don't hold my shoulders, you winter
With your white, your innocent snow..."

(The first lines of "Nie ma, nie ma ciebie", Goran Bregovic & Kayah)

I mean, real count Dracula - Vlad III Ţepeș Prince of Walachia. There is the end of 1476, when he become the ruler of Walachia in the third time.
This time his government was shot. Vlad was killed in the last days of December.

You're welcome
Oh yeah, it would be cool if you make a movie about them (if not a movie, maybe a comic?) Why as "Vlad & Stefan" theme? I'm curious...

Mm... Maybe that's because I regard Stefan as Vlad's only friend (as far as it possible to be "friends" in that hard times between the powerful ones). They believe it was Stefan who finally helped Vlad to liberate from the Hungarian captivity. So, the song's lyric ("God was born, evil has disappeared, but you are not there") is associated for me with King Stefan's sadness: another Christmas has passed, and Vlad is not with him. Stefan knows that his forces are very small in comparison with the forces of the Hungarian king: so, all he has to do is only wait for a favorable moment.

Oh, in my novel (yeah, I'm writing a novel about Vlad) Stefan is Vlad's only friend, too. They played together when they were kids, and they fought together when they were adults. They always were together... until Vlad felled in love. Yeah, he felled in love, and Stefan was jealous about Vlad. He said that Vlad changed from good to worse, that woman thate he loves is not worth of him... But Vlad didn't listened and married her. And Stefan was left alone... Both of them were alone: first Vlad, then Stefan.
Yours point of view is very interesting

It's chinese black ink I'm fond of
But technique is rather like european watercolour, so it is a mix.

So, about the hat (: Becаuse of great mass of copies of the famous portrait I've rather thought of something else; but it was the composition that required upward line just above the contour of his face. That's why (:

Considering what else kind of headdressig Vlad may had wearing I think about somewhat metal band consisted of several jeweled links. But this is for young people. In any case, we'll rather look for Vlad's time fashion; there was intricate "burgundian" fashion in the north and early rennaissance in Italy. Good example (though slightly westward) is Benozzo Gozzoly mural in Palazzo Medici in Florence [link] : if you go down till last illustration, you'll find ONE MORE exquisite hat!
