Nessus used to work for Hades some years ago. He was a bouncer in one of his underground clubs and was really good at it.
At some point, Hades wanted his assistance in some shady business (drug smuggling) and in return, he would get paid handsomely. But Nessus declined his offer in intensity, over and over again, and then called it quits and left.
