Description
The bird that not only will file your papers but also stomps the daylight out of small animals before eating them.I will be drawing my favorite birds as more realism practice.

This is my favourite species of bird tbh they're gorgeous. I love the shading style you use. Do you have any tips on how to keep realism with a less blended style? I tend to overblend a lot personally.

The only way to not over blend is to pretty much stop yourself from doing such. Lay out the colors first and think about blending as a last step. Use hard edged brushes to start off with if they don't have any slowdown on your computer.

I will keep this in mind, I use sai so most brushes are similar speeds :'D

I do think you can change brush speeds in Sai. I do remember there's a lot of customization you can put into your brushes.
I did use Sai originally, but I made the switch for my own reasons...though looking back at my old stuff I might try it out again.
