For a few years, I've been kicking around a fanfic idea that'd involve Vector Prime from Transformers Cybertron, especially since it kind-of does involve the idea of the Multiverse and he's since been established to be one of the original 13. The current idea for said fic involvd the Aligned continuity, which Hasbro has stated as nothing to do with most of the original TF Multiverse, but it has since confirmed that Vector is still one of the original 13.

Recently, I'd posted a poll based on six ideas, plus a option for suggestions. I decided to post what inspried those five of those ideas (The sixth was just to have Richard Newman from the English dub of Cybertron reprise the role), so here we go.

* John Hurt: Granted, this will likely never really happen in real life outside of a major motion picture, but this is currently the idea I'm leaning towards most and is also the one currently in the lead of the poll I'd posted--and yes, as it shows, it was inspired by the War Doctor from "The Name/The Night/The Day of the Doctor" saga that celebrated by 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who. I'd just listened to his voice and thought "This is both how a old warrior who was one of the original 13 should sound"--especially since Convenant of Primus has established Vector is the second of the original 13 Primus created.

* Malcolm McDowell: It's been a while since I've seen Time After Time, and I don't think I've seen the entire thing, but I do remember it and Malcolm McDowell just came to mind.

* James Garrett: This is actually the most recent idea for Vector I've had. IIRC, I was looking on the Trivia sub-page on TV Tropes for Batman: The Brave and the Bold, saw the listing talking about James Garrett voicing Alfred on that voice, remembered his voice Avatar Roku on Avatar: The Last Airbender and thought "He could work for Vector."

* David McCallum: Just as the ideas for John Hurt and Malcolm McDowell for Vector were inspired by respectively the War Doctor and H.G. Welles, this was inspired by Professor Paradox in the Ben 10 sequel series. This is also the oldest idea I had because around the time Transformers Animated ended, I'd been kicking around the idea of a fanfic set after it that also involved Vector Prime and had "casted" McCallum for the part.

* Tom Kane: This contains spoilers to both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, so you might want to skip this part if you haven't played either game, are already spoiled, or don't mind have subplots spoiled. Okay, here we go.

The idea for Kane was basically a Poor Man's Substitute . The early recording of the Spirit of Amadeus Arkham in Arkham Asylum (who turned out to be Quincy Sharp once you've solved them all, which in turn in the Mad Hatter subplot in Arkham City was revealed to be the result of Hugo Strange using Jervis Tetch's techniques to screw with Sharp's mind) reminded me a bit of John Hurt.
