My standards went up again, so I'm redesigning a character I redesigned only a few months ago. Again. It's tiring, but hey.

This drawing is eventually going to be used as part of a book cover, so I need to make sure it looks up to scratch. Hopefully it survives until I start working on said cover, or else I'll be updating her design for the fourth time. Rip.

Anyway! I'm really happy with the way this turned out. The old one was cute n' all, but the updated version fits the character far better. Her hair is no longer just a flat shape, and her eyes have been changed slightly so as to intensify her gaze a little more, which was very much necessary considering how important said gaze is.

Also, new pose. Now she looks like she's marching into battle, which is pretty cool.

Now that that's over, hopefully I can start giving designs to some of the characters that... haven't actually even been drawn at all yet.
